Devon Dental, formerly Croydon House Dental Implant Centre, was first established in 1928 by Arthur Trustcott, making it the most established dental practice in Ashburton.
The practice has recently completed a major refurbishment and extension, which has created a light and tranquil environment for patients and staff all on the ground floor with wheelchair access. We currently have 4 dentists, 2 surgical specialists and 2 hygienists treating private patients.

Dr Andrew Pickering

Dr Andrew Pickering has a special interest in dental implants and welcomes referrals for nervous patients to be treated under IV sedation. He worked and trained in Newcastle Dental Hospital as a houseman in Restorative Dentistry and Oral Surgery, and gained some early training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Truro City Hospital. Dr Pickering completed a one year implant training programme, culminating in the introduction of implants to Croydon House. Dr Pickering has also worked in Scotland as a lead clinician and Senior Dental Officer in Oral Surgery. He was also an accredited vocational trainer for newly qualified dentists. Dr Pickering is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) and The British Society of Oral Implantology (BSOI). He qualified from Newcastle University in 1991.
