Mark Skimming has undertaken extensive advanced training in restorative dentistry, including two years of training in restoring implants. In 2009 he started his training in surgical implant placement through various hands-on courses, including advanced courses in grafting and sinus augmentation, provided by Nigel Saynor. Mark was awarded the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry by the Royal College of Surgeons in England in 2009 and is currently studying for an MSc in this field. He became a Member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners in 2007. Mark opened his Dentistry on the Square referral practice in 2009, having qualified from Glasgow in 2005.
Patient Consultations
Patients just beginning to think about dental implant treatment may find it helpful to attend a complementary preliminary consultation with Mark. This appointment does not include a clinical examination and it only takes 15 minutes. The discussion will help them consider the options for treating your dental problems and decide whether to proceed to a clinical consultation for implants. The preliminary consultation is free of charge.
Once they have decided in principle that they want implant treatment, the next step is a clinical consultation. This includes a comprehensive oral examination, and results in production of a fully-costed individual treatment plan treatment. They cost of this appointment is included in the cost of implant placement. If the patient then decides not to proceed a fee of £150 is then payable including all radiographs.
